Philae

Description

This cushion has a circular ornament composed by yellow horse heads with green and pink feathers on a black and white texture. The feathered horse head is a detail taken from an ancient egyptian ornament that has been found on painted carving wooden colonettes in the palace of Ramses the Great in Thebes. The cushion design is finished with green and hot-pink borders. The buttons used are one-off vintage pieces.

The fabric

The linen used is from Solbiati, an italian company with a unique personality, packed with history and tradition, an important element in the textile sector that pays attention to the cultivation culture. In fact, Flax is the only natural fibre produced in Europe. It was introduced to Europe by Phoenician merchants. This ancient fibre was known to man for decades before Christ.
